TAST Weeks 27 and 28

I combined last week's and this week's TAST. As I mentioned last week, I'm not crazy about the Bonnet stitch and I didn't find it in any book either. But, I managed to make something simple of it along with this week's Up and Down Buttonhole stitch.

I did find a nice video tutorial at Mary Corbet's Needle n' Thread for this week's, the Up and Down Buttonhole. All of Mary's photo and video tutorials are very good!

Enjoy!

  4. It is such an education to view these different stitches. It makes me want to buy some pretty threads and begin stitching away.

  5. One of the most fantastic pieces of magic you do is COLOUR COMBINATION! You make a simple line of stitches but perfect in size and in an explosion of colour, teamed with black, and there is BEAUTY! Love it!

  7. Thanks Debbie for sharing and giving us a link to a video. I'm left handed so I was able to do the bonnet stitch, for the up and down I had to turn my laptop upside down. Now to go do the stitch. I love all your work!
